Fees and Payment

  1. Veterinary services are not covered by government healthcare. Fees reflect the cost of providing high-quality care, including medications, facilities, and staff expertise.
  2. Fees are subject to applicable taxes (currently GST) and may vary based on services rendered.
  3. Clients will receive itemized invoices for all consultations, procedures, and purchases.
  4. Payment is due at the time of service. We accept cash and most major credit/debit cards.

Appointment Policy

  1. We understand that unexpected circumstances can arise. However, missed appointments impact our scheduling and availability for other clients.
  2. Two missed appointments will be allowed without a fee.
  3. A fee will be charged for subsequent missed appointments.
  4. Advance payment may be required for future appointments.

Insurance Claims

  1. We can assist with direct insurance claims for treatments exceeding a certain amount.
  2. Please check with your insurance provider for specific coverage and reimbursement procedures.
  3. An administration fee may apply for direct insurance claims.

Treatment Estimates

  1. We provide verbal estimates at the time of booking or consultation.
  2. Written estimates are provided for surgical procedures or inpatient treatments.
  3. Actual costs may vary due to unforeseen circumstances. We will communicate any significant cost increases.

Payment Arrangements

  1. Unpaid balances must be settled promptly.
  2. Late payments may incur additional fees.

Off-Label Medication

  1. In certain cases, off-label medications may be prescribed when no suitable licensed alternative is available. This will be discussed with you and requires your consent.

Unused Medication

  1. Due to regulatory guidelines, we cannot accept returns of unused medications.

Brucellosis Testing

  1. To protect public health, dogs imported from countries with Brucellosis may require a serology test before receiving treatment.

Vaccination and Preventive Care

  1. It’s your responsibility to ensure your pet’s vaccinations and preventive care are up-to-date. We can provide reminders, but ultimately, you are responsible for your pet’s health.
